Book excerpt: Henry Pratt, Sr. was born before 1765, probably in Virginia. He and his wife appear to be the parents of nine children, born in Virginia. The family were living in Washington County, Virginia, in 1810, and he was living in Greene County, Tennessee, by 1819. Descendants listed, chiefly descendants of his son, Oliver Pratt (ca. 1784-1832), lived in Virginia, Tennessee, Kentucky, and elsewhere.
