Funding landscape for research on health, migration and displacement

Book excerpt: Migrants, refugees and displaced populations are frequently excluded from the research and evidence generation activities needed to develop public health interventions and policies. WHO’s Department of Health and Migration developed the Global research agenda on health, migration and displacement (the Global research agenda) to address this gap. The following analysis of funding for the Global research agenda has identified key actions to strengthening global funding on health, migration and displacement research and to building effective partnerships between funding bodies, United Nations agencies, academic institutions, policy-makers and operational actors.
