Alternative to traditional field measurements or laboratory experiments with the help of scaled physical models, numerical modeling has become an advantageous way of acquiring such understanding due to the great advancement in computation technology during the last decades. In the present research, 3D numerical modeling was employed to study the turbulent flow in hydraulic structures.
