Reflections

Book excerpt: This is Diane deHaan's first poetry book. Reflections is the published collection of poems in a variety of genres. Poetry is the chiseled marble of language; it is a paint spattered canvas, but the poet uses words instead of paint. The poems in this book offer a reflection into the poet's soul. They touch on a myriad of themes that are common to all; whether it is through laughter, love, loss, or friendship, that is inspired by the canvas of our imagination. It is the author's desire that the reader will be able to identify with each expression from her heart, and to gain insight into their own soul from these poems through the reflections that are shared within the pages of her verses.
